Uchenna Joseph Uwaleke is an Associate Professor of Accounting & Finance and the current Head of Banking & Finance Department at Nasarawa State University Keffi. He is also the Director of Quality Assurance in the same University.

A thorough-bred professional registered with the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria (FRCN), he is a Chartered Accountant (FCA), a Chartered Stockbroker (ACS) and a Chartered Banker (ACIB), all by examination. He is also an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (ACTI), the 33 | P a g e Institute of Capital Market Registrars (ACMR) and the Nigerian Economic Society (MNES). A multi-disciplinary Scholar, he holds a B.Sc. degree in Accounting from the Anambra State University in 1991, an M.Sc. in Economics (specializing in Finance) and a PhD in Finance with over 20 years of lecturing engagements in reputable higher institutions in Nigeria. Prior to joining Nasarawa State University as a pioneer staff in the faculty of Administration, he had worked as an Investment Banker with Lombard Assets Management Limited as the Head of Research and Private Banking. He has published a number of books in Accounting, Finance and Business Economics with several articles in referred academic journals.
